Why Raja Yoga meditation, despite being free, is not widely adopted?

Raja Yoga meditation is a spiritual practice that offers numerous benefits to individuals who practice it regularly. One of the most significant advantages of this form of meditation is that it is entirely free. This is because the knowledge and techniques involved in Raja Yoga meditation are imparted by Paramatma, the father of all souls. Just as a father would never charge his children for imparting knowledge or wisdom, so too does Paramatma offer this knowledge for free to all who seek it.

However, despite the fact that Raja Yoga meditation is free, many people do not take it up. One of the primary reasons for this is the prevailing mindset that if something is free, it must be substandard. This mindset is often reinforced by societal norms and expectations. For example, the Tata Nano car was available for only 1 lakh, making it the cheapest car in India, but it failed because people perceived it as being of low quality due to its low price. Similarly, people may assume that Raja Yoga meditation is of low quality or efficacy because it is offered for free.

Another reason why people may not take up Raja Yoga meditation is that its benefits may not be immediately apparent. For example, if someone goes to the gym regularly, they may see a visible change in their physical appearance within a few months. This change is easily noticeable by others, who may then inquire about their fitness regimen. In contrast, the benefits of Raja Yoga meditation are often more subtle and may take longer to manifest. It may take years of regular practice before an individual can develop divine qualities and characteristics. Therefore, others may not perceive the benefits of the practice, leading to a lack of interest in taking it up.

In conclusion, while Raja Yoga meditation is a highly beneficial spiritual practice, its free nature and subtle benefits may discourage some people from taking it up. However, it is essential to remember that the value of Raja Yoga meditation is not determined by its price or visible benefits but by the profound transformation it can bring about in an individual's life.
