The Role of Thoughts and Beliefs in Raja Yoga Meditation and Suffering for Sins

In Raja Yoga meditation, the practice of manmanabhava involves focusing the mind and directing positive thoughts and intentions towards the divine. It is believed that this practice can help burn past actions that may be considered as sins, leading to spiritual liberation.

However, it's important to understand that suffering is not necessarily a direct result of past actions, but rather the result of our thoughts and perceptions towards those actions. If you believe that you will still suffer for your sins even after practicing meditation, then your own thought and belief may cause you to experience suffering.

In essence, the outcome of our experiences in life is largely determined by our thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes. Practicing mindfulness and positivity through meditation can help shift negative thought patterns and lead to a more fulfilling and peaceful life.
